PTA is a grassroots organization made up of parents, teachers and others around the state who have an interest in children, families and schools. PTA membership is as diverse as Texas. By joining a local PTA, a member becomes part of the largest child advocacy group in the State and in the Nation.

Membership is open to anyone concerned with the education, health and welfare of children and youth. Anyone can join! Parents, grandparents, neighbors, community members and even students are welcomed into PTA

Get Involved
Get involved for your children and for your community. Studies have shown that membership in PTA provides your child and other children around you with a greater chance of achieving in school. As a PTA member, you are more likely to be an informed, involved parent. Learn ways to keep children safe and involved in school. PTA is the place to gain that knowledge.

Voting
Individuals may participate in the business of the Local PTA upon remitting dues and membership information to the Local PTA.
Membership Dues
State and national dues total $4.50 – $2.25 for state and $2.25 for national. Local dues are determined by each PTA. Individuals wishing to join multiple PTAs, pay the state, national and local dues at each PTA.
Texas Life Members
Texas Life Members have been recognized for their contributions and are exempt from the state portion of dues at the PTA of their choice. Texas Life Membership can only be claimed through one PTA. Full membership dues must be paid for additional memberships.
National Life Members
National PTA does not exempt members from the national, state or local portion of dues.
